Using the Wiki

The wiki is your knowledge hub — a structured, prose-first view of everything Jackdaw knows about the workspace you're in. Think of it as a living profile, maintained automatically from your sources and editable by you.

Your hub

When you open Jackdaw, the Context view is your home — the hub for whichever workspace you're in. What it's about depends on the workspace:

• In a personal workspace, the hub is about you. It starts with sections like Overview, People, Work, Personal life, Goals & projects, Preferences, and Interests.
• In a family or team workspace, the hub is about that household or team, and its sections are generated from the data — so the exact set varies from one workspace to the next.

These sections aren't a fixed schema. Each one mixes prose you can write freely with structured facts pulled from your sources, and you can add your own section with the + at the bottom of the page. For a person, your core facts — role, organization, location — also appear in an info box at the top.

Subject pages

Every person, project, organization, or topic Jackdaw knows about has its own page. Click any linked entity to open it. A subject page shows:

• A prose summary
• Key facts pulled from your data
• Linked content — the emails, notes, messages, and events that mention this subject (this is where a fact's provenance lives)

Notes and pages

Not everything is a subject. You can also write freeform pages — plain documents you author yourself, the way you'd jot in Apple Notes. Hit + New in the sidebar and you get a blank page to write in, using the same block editor (headings, lists, callouts, [[ links).

A page isn't a subject: Jackdaw never rewrites it or merges it into your graph, and it doesn't become a fact about you. It's a place for your own notes. But it lives in your sidebar tree, can link to any subject, and can hold uploaded documents like any other page.

Editing

Everything in the wiki is editable, and your edits always win over what Jackdaw synthesized.

• Section prose: click into a section and edit it. Your version is marked EDITED, and a reset option restores the auto-written one if you ever want it back.
• Subject pages and rich text: use the block editor, where changes save as you go.

Your core facts

The info box at the top of your hub holds your key facts — role, organization, location, and so on. Click any field to edit it inline. For a fuller pass — including your family (partner, parents, children, siblings) — open Edit profile, where relationships are managed as their own entries.

Regenerate

Jackdaw writes your prose from your data, and you can Regenerate a page as new information comes in. Regenerate only adds — it never overwrites edits you've made, so it's safe to run any time.

Upload a document

You can attach a document to your hub, any subject page, or a note — use the upload button in the page header. Jackdaw reads it and folds what it learns into that page, and the file itself shows up under Linked content so you can always find it again.

Wikilinks

Type [[ anywhere in the block editor to link to another subject. Start typing the name and pick from the autocomplete list — or create a new subject on the spot. Links connect your graph, so any AI reading your wiki sees how your people, projects, and topics relate.

Correcting the assistant

If the assistant says something wrong about you, just tell it: "That's not right — I'm not a founder, I'm the CTO." Jackdaw captures the correction and stages it in your inbox for you to approve. Once approved, the corrected fact replaces the wrong one going forward.
