Choose a Page type
Use Notes, Collections, Calendar, and Kanban Pages for different kinds of work.
A Page can hold writing or show a live view of work. Start with a Note when you need a brief; choose another type when you need records, dates, or a task workflow. The Page type menu on an editable Note offers the conversions below. Conversion to Calendar, Kanban, or Collection starts from a blank Note: move or clear its body first.
| Page type | Use it for | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Note | A plan, decision, meeting note, or project brief | Editable prose, links, and attached sources |
| Collection | Things you track, such as clients, books, or equipment | A table of records with fields, filters, and views |
| Calendar | Dates and events across the workspace | Day, week, and month views with persistent filters |
| Kanban | Tasks moving through a workflow | Columns over shared tasks, including tasks created elsewhere |
Make a Collection
Under Pages, create a Collection, choose what each row represents, then add fields and filters. You can also convert a blank Note from its Page type menu. A Collection is a saved view of real records; changing a record follows it wherever else that record appears. If a connected tool has records available, the creation flow can offer those as the Collection's source.
Use a Collection when the question is “Which items match these conditions?” For example, a clients table can show only accounts awaiting renewal. Use a Note for the explanation of why a particular account needs attention.
Make a Calendar or Kanban
Create a blank Note, open its Page type menu, and choose Calendar or Kanban. Calendar provides day, week, and month views and lets you save filters. Kanban organizes shared tasks into columns; open a task to inspect its own page and context.
If the conversion option is disabled, check that the Note is blank and that you have edit access. Managed or linked Pages keep their assigned type. See Getting Started for a first workspace walkthrough and Using the Wiki for writing and linking Pages.
