Navigating your wiki
The sidebar, breadcrumb trail, search, and All knowledge — how to move around everything Stateful knows.
Your wiki grows into thousands of subjects and pages. These are the tools for getting around it: a sidebar for what you're working with, a trail for where you've been, search for jumping anywhere, and All knowledge for browsing everything at once.
The sidebar
On the left of the Context view is a sidebar (headed Wiki) that stays with you as you move between pages. It has three zones:
- Pinned — the pages and subjects you've pinned, so the ones you care about are always one click away. Pin anything from its page (the pin button in the header) or hover a row in the sidebar and click the pin. Drag pinned rows to reorder them.
- Recent — what you've opened lately, most-recent first. Nothing to manage; it just keeps up with you.
- Workspace — a curated tree you build yourself. Pages you file live here, nested under folders. Auto-created meeting notes collect into their own Meetings group instead of cluttering the tree.
Filing pages. Drag a page onto a folder to file it there, or onto the Workspace header to move it to the top level. Use the + next to Workspace to make a folder, and the ⋯ menu on any row to rename, move, or archive it.
New notes. The + New button at the top of the sidebar creates a blank note or page and opens it for editing.
All knowledge. At the bottom, All knowledge · N → shows how much the workspace knows and opens the full record browser (below).
You can collapse the sidebar to a thin spine with the button in its header, and it stays collapsed until you bring it back — the setting is remembered per device.
The trail
Above each wiki page is a breadcrumb trail of where you've been — Home › Acme › Q3 planning. Click any earlier crumb to jump back to it; the trail truncates there, like a browser back-stack. The Home button always returns you to the workspace hub. When you leave Context (say, to the Agents tab) and come back, Jackdaw returns you to the page you were on, not to Home.
Search
Press ⌘K (or the search button in the top bar) to open search from anywhere. It looks across every subject and page in the workspace — start typing a name and jump straight to it. Recent pages show first, before you've typed anything.
All knowledge
All knowledge is one place to browse and audit everything recorded in the workspace — every person, organization, project, goal, and note, in sortable, filterable tables.
- Filter by kind. A row of chips at the top — All, People, Organizations, Projects, Goals, Interests, Preferences, Places, Events, Decisions, Tasks, Pages — narrows the table to one kind. Each chip shows how many there are.
- Sort and search. Click a column header to sort; use the search field to filter rows by name.
- Edit in place. Many fields are editable right in the table, so you can fix or tidy records without opening each page. Archive a record with its row action.
- Candidates. For people and organizations, a toggle shows unverified entities Jackdaw has extracted but you haven't confirmed yet — review and promote them here.
All knowledge is where you go to inspect your data in bulk; the hub and subject pages are where you read and write about it.
